Hi All,

Hope you are all well?

Just a short blog this time as I am just about to leave for a week’s holiday before starting a very busy November and December.

Last Friday I had the great pleasure at performing at a charity event in London called Save-Jess-tival, which was to draw attention to the need for people to register for organ donation.

I met Jess Wales in January 2008, at a charity event to raise money for research into cystic fibrosis. Jess had already been waiting for a double lung transplant for over two years and I was deeply moved by her story. I told her to let me know if there was ever anything I could do to help. It was sad to learn that Jess is now so ill and running out of time waiting for her transplant and so was delighted to be asked to take part in a gig in honour of her and to raise awareness of organ donation.

The people involved with putting together the whole thing together were inspirational. The gig was organised by a team of people who have been personally affected by transplantation and the energy and passion they showed putting this together demonstrates the change that can be brought about by the gift of life that is organ donation.

Like her friends behind the gig, I would like to see Jess get her life-saving transplant in time and to help increase the chances of all those waiting.

If you are in the UK and would like to register for organ donation you can visit this link:

On Saturday morning we were straight off to Agadir in Morocco to film a couple of songs at a concert for tolerance which was being filmed for M6 in France (broadcast in Nov I think!). The journey was a bit of a nightmare as we had to fly via Paris and change airports, which would have been bad enough but Orly was closed due to a strike and we had to go back to CDG taking about 4 hours longer than planned! Despite that we had a great time, and I even had some time on the beach on Sunday.

I need to go now, as I am just about to board my plane for a week off, lots of exciting things happening in November when I will be travelling all over Europe on promotion including performing on X Factor in Italy were I will also be a guest judge for the episode. Can’t wait!

Hi guys,

I’ve been really busy lately, it’s all very exciting! I keep getting texts from my friends saying that they love the new single. They keep texting me from the gym saying “I’m working out watching your video!” It’s really funny!

From my new album, my favourite song at the moment is ‘Fun’. It’s so beautiful! I also love ‘My God’, and ‘Scars’ is great too. Recording this album has been a long process, but the most enjoyable bit has been the latter part, working with Chris Martin and also Ben Hillier, who has been a really big influence on me. He really showed me how to make it fun in the studio. We experimented a lot with song ideas and musical directions. It’s just been really, really interesting!

Oh, last night I watched the first episode of the new series, Flash Forward, with Joseph Fiennes. It was brilliant! I’ve already done a series link on Sky Plus. I was interviewed by Simon Mayo and he told me about the show. I’m hardly ever at home to get into these series, so I decided to give it a go from the beginning. Everyone blacks out at once, and they all dream of flashing forward to half a year in the future. There’s a cop who is trying to figure out what happened, using what he remembers from his flash forward. It’s brilliant because you have to piece it all together, it could go on forever! It’s not just action, it’s interesting and thought provoking

I’ve not been to the cinema for a while, although I’d like to see The September Issue. I haven’t had much free time. While I was in Australia my sister gave me some new music, so I’ve been listening to As Day Follows Night by Sarah Blasko. I also like the latest album by The Red Sun Band, which is called The Shiralee. I’ve been listening to Leonard Cohen a lot too.

I went to see Coldplay the other week at Wembley Stadium, and it was SO amazing! I loved every second of it. My favourite song was ‘Lovers in Japan’. The X Factor bit was really amusing, with Simon critiquing the audience’s performance. I loved Jay-Z too, and I just downloaded his album, which I’m looking forward to getting into.

Tonight I’m taking my stylist, Karen, out for a birthday dinner. Then on Thursday I’ve got a gig at Heaven in London, which I’m very excited about. We’ve been doing lots of promo so it’s nice to do some singing rather than talking! I’ve got a really solid, great set planned. My band and I are rehearsing all afternoon on Wednesday. The last gigs I did were in Ireland for the Guinness 250 celebrations, which were quite rowdy. We were all in such good spirits! The crowd wanted me to down my pint of Guinness in one but I didn’t want to drink too much, or I’d forget all the words.

I’m reading Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts at the moment. I don’t have a lot of time at the moment, but I love this book so much I don’t want it to end. It’s about an Aussie guy who escapes prison. He had a really interesting life, as he was on the run and he went to India. He set up the first ever medical hut in one of the slums, but then was thrown back in jail. It’s really full on, but poetic too. I’m reading a little bit at a time so if I’m still reading it at Christmas I’ll be a very happy chappie.

You guys said I should sign up with Twitter, so… I did my first tweet yesterday! You can follow me @natimbruglia so make sure you say hi!

That’s all for now but I look forward to seeing some of you on Thursday!

Love, Nat xx
