NATALIE Imbruglia has moved to California in an effort to restart her music career.

Imbruglia moved to Los Angeles this year from London, and is bunkered down writing new songs.

Her last album was a flop around the world.

“I think there can be a lot of pressure in the industry so I’m trying to regain that youthful, childlike love of music,” she told InStyle magazine.

Imbruglia was in Australia this time last year as a judge on The X-Factor, but she wasn’t asked back this year.
